3D Animation/Design

3D Animation/Design Students:

1/30: Talk about what a storyboard is, go to here for examples. What do they all have in common? Brainstorm, storyboard assignment
1/31: Work through example of storyboard, independent work
2/1: Independent work, make sure you're collaborating (talking with each other) so that you're not doing double work!
2/2: Finish up storyboard, meet with teacher
2/3: Present final product to class

2nd year students:

Any time you find yourself done with what you've been asked to complete, first ask yourself if you've met and exceeded expectations.

Then, go on the Internet, type a word or phrase about something in 3D Animation/Design you want to learn about and then type the word "tutorial". You'll be surprised at what you can learn if you just ask!

Graphic Design

Graphic Design Students (1st and 2nd semester students):

Listen, if you're in here fresh for second semester, we're all learning Illustrator from square one. If you don't have a working knowledge of Photoshop, you're going to have to do some tutorials and independent learning. You'll be expected to be fully up to speed in Photoshop in about a month.

1/30: Review of what we've learned so far, start celebrity trace
1/31: Finish celebrity trace and turn in
2/1: Start on "spaceship" tutorial, talk about the use of the "pathfinder" tool
2/2: Continue spaceship tutorial, create shading
2/3: Start to animate space ship (GIF tutorial here)

2nd year students:

1/30: You have the information from your business and I SHOULD have your narrative. If not, it's late and you STILL need to get it to me!
1/31: The due date for this project is going to be next Friday. You'll turn it in to me, make revisions if necessary, then send it to your client
2/1: Independent work
2/2: Independent work
2/3: Progress check for grade
